It is with the greatest sorrow that we announce the passing of Christina Jean Yuke-Lunn.
She was born in the city of Calgary, AB, on October 24, 1966 and passed away November 13, 2020 in Calgary, AB.
Christina had two great moments in her life, which defined her and gave her the greatest joy in her life. The first was when on a beautiful summer day, 38 years ago, she first ever locked eyes with her husband. It was love at first site for both of them and they were together from that very moment till her passing. The second was the moment of her son’s birth. He was, and always will be, the bright light that guides her.
Christina was a school bus driver in Calgary for many years, and absolutely adored the children that were placed in her care to get to and from school every day. She had the biggest heart for all children who entered her life professionally and personally. In addition, she had a great love for all animals. There was always an animal companion in her life.
She was a tenacious woman, who had many challenges in her life, and never quit fighting to overcome any obstacles.
Some of her greatest joys were camping, off-roading and any social gathering where she was surrounded by her friends and family. She had a profound capacity to love all those who were part of her world.
She leaves behind her loving husband, Ben Lunn, her son Bailey Yuke-Lunn, various family and many friends
Her heart was in the BC Mountains and this is where she will be placed to rest and forever be free.
A memorial will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to The Stroke Foundation in her memory.
'Til we see you again.
