Our family is saddened to announce the passing of our loving son and brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, Carlos Guzman. On April 24, 2022, he joined his father in heaven at the young age of thirty-three.
He is survived by his mother, Laura & his sister, Renee along with many extended family and friends.
Carlos was born in Mexico City, on July 17, 1988, before the family relocated to Canada in 1989. He was so excited, until he stepped outside the doors and upon feeling the Winter air for the first time, he ran back inside. He was charismatic, and went on to become a car salesman, excelling tremendously. He moved to Edmonton for a fresh start, where he lived for the last 7 years.
Carlos will be remembered for his infectious smile & humour; he would do anything for a laugh, even if his laugh was funnier than his joke, which it usually was. He was passionate about cars, took pride in his fashion and had an immense soft spot for animals. He loved his cats and our family dog Tuko. Tuko would always be around him knowing he'd consistently have extra food and treats when Carlos was around. He had a heart of gold, always wanting to do something to help those in need.
Through the grey clouds of grief and longing, we look to the blue skies knowing that his suffering has ended and that he is safe and resting peacefully with a drink in hand, laughing and shooting the shit with his dad. He was taken from the world far too soon, leaving an empty space in our lives and a feeling of absence never to be forgotten. He is so loved and he will always be part of our lives.
Until we meet again, Carlitos. May you rest peacefully.
