The Man, The Myth, The Legend…but mostly, The Myth.
He was The Man to his Kym. The Legend to his Son. A Myth to all others.
The mythical Brent eludes everyone once more, which is a tough order for a man of such stature:
Aged 61, shoulders 62”… natural.
He was a true protector of his family with a sarcastic sense of humor, often engaging in competitive, mocking banter with Kym and Brett. He was cunning and crafty; therefore, his ashes will not be spread, but poured into his rival’s gas tank.
We know that he will continue to watch over his Kym and Brett, and God knows they both need it. Kym leaves curling irons plugged in, and Brett, well, “there’s not a brain in that poor boy’s head”. But that boy would like to remind you, Dad, that you always joked about one day stealing my tires, but now it is I who takes yours.
Memories for Brent weren’t categorized by date and time but rather what his body weight was and what vehicle he was driving. Meeting Kym, 155 lb, Ford Elite. Bretts Birth, 204 lb, Plymouth Cuda. Today, we remember him forever at 261 lb, Ford Mustang.
It should be noted that during the year of 155 lb, Ford Elite, Brent and Kym met at a bar called ‘Raffles’, which 30 years later would become a comedy club in which their son would go on to headline. A fitting circle for the romantic-comedy that was their life together.
Brent. Dad. We will always love you.
And Sweetheart, as our Song by Lenny Kravitz stated, “It ain’t over ‘til it’s over” - for me, it’s definitely not over. - Kym
