Brandon Unrau

Beloved Son, Grandson, Brother, Nephew, Uncle, and Friend, Brandon passed away on March 19, 2025.

Brandon was born June 22, 1995, in Calgary, Alberta; the first child to parents Debra Diamond (Nielsen/Unrau) and Trevor Unrau.

Brandon is survived by his mother Debra, father Trevor and stepmother Tanya Henry; siblings Cody Diamond, Riley Unrau, Ryan McIlhagga Diamond, Duncan McIlhagga (Tara) and Aric Diamond (Erin) Tysen Lascelle, Bryce Petersen and Jacinda Petersen; Grandparents Mary Unrau, Ann Schuler and Bob Nielsen; Aunts and Uncles Ron Unrau, Darrell Unrau, Randy (Dilya) Unrau, Bradley (Stacee) Kevin Unrau and Janine Unrau.

Brandon was predeceased by his grandfather Jacob Unrau, his stepfather Ted Diamond, Uncle Willard Unrau, and Aunt Karen Unrau.

Brandon also had a huge adopted/honorary family of people who had chosen Brandon as family or who Brandon had chosen as family.

Brandon started his school years in Calgary and graduated from St. Paul High School in St. Paul, Alberta.

Brandon worked at a variety of jobs in his short lifetime including Smyl RV Centre and South St. Paul Truck Wash and Detail Centre.  Most recently, Brandon owned and operated a drywall company in Calgary and was really enjoying his learning and the work.

Brandon was a very gentle soul and loved helping others.  He will be fondly remembered by loving family and friends. Know you were all very important to Brandon.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Royal Canadian Legion #275, 755 – 40th Street SE, Calgary AB.
