Bill (Billy Blue Eyes) Redisky

It is with the saddest of hearts that we announce the passing of Bill Redisky.

Bill was born in Castlegar, B.C. on August 17, 1967, to Bill and Judy Redisky.

Bill spent his entire childhood enjoying the mountains, rivers, and lakes in B.C.

After graduating Highschool in 1986, he moved to Calgary AB, Where he met the love of his life Angel in February 1987.

In 1989 they welcomed his only son, Dustin and they quickly followed with three daughters Jessilynn, Kara, and Cheyenne.

Bill spent 35 years as an accomplished carpenter after receiving his red seal certificate, he worked on many projects in and around Calgary.

Away from work, Bill enjoyed nothing more than spending time outside with his family by blood or by proxy, fishing, camping, and hunting just to name a few!

Bill was predeceased by his two mentors Norm Tilley (2004), and Ed Gerrish (2016); his mother Judy Winfield (2019); and above all, his pride and joy and only son, Dustin Redisky (2022).

The family would like to thank the ALS clinic at SHC, the ALS Society of Alberta, and especially Leslie; for their love and support during Bills’ brave battle with ALS.

Also sending a very special thank you to Lindsay and Meaghan with the palliative home care team for everything they have done to support Bill and our, family.

As well as countless other medical professionals during this time.

Bill battled ALS with the same sense of humour and twinkle in his eye that he used to navigate his daily life.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Bill's name to the ALS Society of Alberta.

We will be celebrating Bill's life at the Acclaim Hotel (123 Freeport Blvd NE) on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at 3:00 pm. There will be a light lunch to follow.
