It is with extremely heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Beverly Jean Blackburn (Ripper) on Sunday June 9th, 2024, at the age of 74 years.
Mum was born in New Westminster, BC, June 3rd, 1950, roughly in the middle of a family of ten children, and grew up in White Rock, BC. Bev was married to her husband Richard in 1981 until his passing in 2021. Mum loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren, tending to her beautiful garden every year, and bombing around the neighbourhood on her bike. Her love for her kids was unconditional, no matter what trouble they got into. Her door was always open, her hugs were always warm, and she made sure there were always cookies available in the cupboard. Her smile was the brightest, and we will never forget it.
She is survived by her children Jody (Monica), Curtis (Candace), Andrew (Chie), Thomas (Geri), and Elizabeth (Neil); her grandchildren Vanessa, Garett, Amelia, Gabriella, Oliver, and Kiyo; and great-grandchild Carter, as well as her siblings Sue, Stuart, Maureen, Michael, Christine, and Robert. She is predeceased by her beloved parents, Doris and Laurie Ripper, and her brothers Paul, Keith, and Ian.
