Barry James Frey

Barry James Frey, 78 years old, of Calgary, Alberta passed away on June 28, 2026, at Peter Lougheed Hospital.

Barry was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan on June 11, 1948. He went to high school at Maple Creek High School.

He worked at the Canadian Western Natural Gas company for many years.

Barry enjoyed watching hockey, especially the Calgary Flames.

He is survived by his children Janet Frey-Sanderson (Clifford Sanderson), Marcia Watt (Robbie Cornwall) and Alexandra Larsen; grandchildren, Scotty Frey-Sanderson, Shelby-Rae Watt, Travis Watt (Fiancé Tayla), Cheyenne Sanderson and David Sanderson; as well as his brother, Bruce Frey.

He is preceded in death by his two sisters Marge Lewis and Shirley Peters.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Candace Hardnack for the support and the kindness  over the past ten years.

As per Barry’s request there will no funeral service.
