Born on February 21, 1939, in Didsbury, Alberta, Mom lived a full and meaningful life rooted in love, family, and quiet strength. She was the beloved wife of her late husband Norman and the cherished daughter of Harold and Jean Swanson. Mom's life was shaped by deep familial bonds and a steadfast devotion to those she held dear. Her warmth and generosity left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.
Mom is lovingly remembered by her children: Russel Kelly (Claire); Belinda Temple (Dwayne); Darcy Kelly; Duayne Kelly (Kimberlee); Patrick Kelly; and Darryl Kelly (Lori). She was a proud grandmother to Ryan Kelly, Jason Temple (Amanda), Colin Temple, Justin Kelly (Megan), Brandon Kelly, and Maddi Kelly. Along with many nephews and nieces. Her legacy continues through each of them. She is also survived by her brothers Robert Swanson (Debbie) and Garry Swanson (Cheryl), predeceased by her brother Carl.
Mom's loving nature and giving spirit were unmatched, her children fondly remember her as "a better person than us all". May her memory bring comfort to those who knew her and continue to inspire acts of compassion and kindness for generations to come. You were a wonderful sister, wife and most of all a mother to all of us.
Mom you are loved deeply and will be missed every day.
When I am Gone
Come to the end of my journey
And I have traveled my last weary mile,
Just forget if you can, that I ever frowned
And remember only my smile.
Forget unkind words I have spoken;
Remember some good I have done,
Forget that I have ever had a heartache
And remember I've had loads of fun.
Forget that I have stumbled and blundered
And sometimes fell by the way.
Remember I have fought
Some hard battles and won,
Ere the close of the day.
Then forget to grieve for my going,
I would not have you sad for a day,
But in the summer just gather some flowers
And remember the place I lay
And come in the evening
When the sun paints the sky in the west,
Stand for a few moments beside me
And only remember my best.
