Adrienne Hill

With profound sadness, but with gratitude for her life, Adrienne's family announces her passing, at the age of 76 on Sunday, August 27, 2023, at Skypointe Hospice in Calgary, AB, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on June 27, 1947, in Sunderland, England, Adrienne was the only child of the late William and Edna Hill.

She is survived by her partner, Georges Gasparovics, Sylvan Lake, AB; cherished daughter, Kristen (Jeff Main), Airdrie, AB; and son, Michael Brett Klein, Montreal, QC. She was a proud grandmother to River Main, Chris Rutherford, Logan Rutherford, Noah Main, Mathis Marchand, and Ludovic Marchand, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Her love for her family knew no limits and will provide cherished memories to us for years to come.

Adrienne emigrated from England with her parents, at the age of four, and the family settled in Saskatoon, SK, where she grew up and raised her family.

Adrienne moved to Calgary once her children had graduated high school. It was in Calgary that she met her partner Georges and over the last 26 years the two have lived in Calgary, Oakville, Montreal, Airdrie, Hodgeville, and Sylvan Lake, as well as winters in Yuma.

Adrienne worked in the Insurance industry for many years and made many friends, whom she has remained close to over the years. Georges and Adrienne met many great friends on all their stops through the years, that they have remained close to. Adrienne loved to travel including visits to Cuba, Jeeping in Yuma and spending time at Kristen and Jeff's cottage, in Tatamagouche.

Adrienne and George found a great community in Sylvan Lake, where Adrienne kept busy playing bridge, golfing, and attending her swim/walking groups.

Adrienne was a willing child/dog sitter for Kristen and Jeff, allowing them to enjoy their own love of traveling. She provided lots of love during these visits. Her kindness and love for her family and friends will be forever remembered.

A Celebration of Life will take place at the Legion in Sylvan Lake on Thursday, September 28th from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

A special thank you to family, friends, and neighbours for their support during her illness and at this time of our bereavement.
